I am the original Space Lobster.  I am smart and creative and sensitive and weird.  My life has taken some strange twists and turns.  It can be hard to find your way in space.  But I am a happy woman, now.  Easily pleased.  I do not rock boats deliberately, but I am not afraid to tell the truth, either, so sometimes boats will be rocked.  I have ADHD and PTSD and mild TBI, so I am an alphabet person.

Space Lobsters are often weird

I am super flawed and scarred and my brain works differently, but I have come to embrace my rough edges.  To love my strangeness.  Mostly, I like to tell stories about real life stuff.  I also like to listen.  And read.  And paint.  And walk dogs.  I like everything to do with dogs.  All animals.  I also really like trees.  And grasseses.  (Not a typo.  Sometimes plural words seem to need an extra “”es” at the end for me.)  Sometimes I like politics.  I always love the sky.  All skies.  And anything that flies or floats or hovers.  I am getting much better at sleep!  That is exciting.  And I finally learned how to eat.  (Stick to food!)

I also like Tyrannosauruseses and  unicorns and sparkling stuff and sharks and whales and vultures and bats and eagles and bison.  And sandals.  And fake fingernails.  And pomegranate and blueberries and bacon.  I like nice people and smart people and I like weird people the most.  Damaged people and flawed people are often fun.  Especially comedians!  I like art.  Most art.  I like walking a lot.  And purses.  I like purses too much.  Really like containers of all sorts.

Space Lobsters like exploring

Humility!  Good manners.  Growth.  Loyalty and devotion.  Generosity!  I like well trained humans (as long as they are still a little feral, too.)

I am not so fond of small talk and social niceties.  Grammar?  Meh.  Not so good at following rules.  I hate money.  (But I love numbers!  Especially 5’s.)  I do not care about status or physical beauty.  I find vanity distasteful.  Linear thinking is not a priority for me.  I don’t like being told what to do – or not to do.  I guess limitations in general are a challenge for me.  Also, I have weird food issues and I am not fond of heights and spiders upset me, but not as much as wood ticks.  Wood ticks are so awful.  🙁  Leeches, too!  Good God!  Anything that puts its head under my skin is appalling.  Loud sounds are not fun.  Needles make me sad.  Paperwork and forms are traumatic for me.  And I do not pay much attention to what other people think of me.  Not fond of drama.  Can’t tolerate wasting time on boring stuff.  Or people who talk about goals a lot.  Perfectionists!  Blecgh!  And I do not have time to worry about weeds or tidiness.  Also anything pickled is not to be ingested.

Space Lobsters are dynamic

Oh, I forgot!  I like tattoos, too.  And landscapes.  Rain and snow.  Mud especially!  Fizzy water.  Movies.  And the band, Frightened Rabbit.  I really really like them.  (They are the official band of Space Lobsters.)  Plus I love a bunch of other musicians.  Music is a huge part of my life.

Probably more than just about anything, though, I appreciate freedom.

And space.

And kindness.  Healing.

And most of all love.  I have learned it all comes down to love.

PS:  Dogs eating crunchy things!  Especially in the dark. Dogs that are super vigorous with squeaky toys. Dogs sneezing. Teeny tiny dog chiclet teeth in the mouths of little bitty dogs. And dogs snoring.
